|Welcome to mathematicsresearcher.org!
My name is Donna Kotsopoulos. I am an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education and the Department of Mathematics in the Faculty of Science, Wilfrid Laurier University. My research focuses on mathematical cognition and mathematical teaching and learning across the lifespan, with a current focus on early childhood. My current research, along with my collaborator Dr. Joanne Lee from the Department of Psychology, explores how young children come to understand numbers and the development of visual-spatial reasoning in early childhood. This work has led to the development of a community-based early numeracy program called LittleCounters TM.
